Mainstream Mindfulness is a ten week mindfulness for children program comprised of 40 -minute weekly classes with a mix of music, stories, movement and creative art. Each class follows the same format with a different Mindful learning focus. Our ten week program helps empower children to build skills for lifelong well being and a more balance life.
We know that learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. I am passionate about mindfulness for children and bring this enthusiasm to the course. I have been a Educator for over 30 years during this time I have seen increase in childhood anxiety depression among other mental health issues in younger children. I have had my own personal mindfulness practice for over 10 years which has allowed me to navigate life stressors with calm and self-awareness in order to make thoughtful choices . Through my own approach I became more interested in exploring mindfulness programs for children that would help build their social emotional learning skills. Through two years of research in the evolution of my own practice I developed Mainstream Mindfulness.
We offer this flexible options for every family’s needs. Small group sizes offer individual attention with flexible times that meet families busy schedules. The training is broken into two age groups from 5 to 7 and from 8 to 12. Because were offering the sessions online children from around the world can join together adding a richness to the experience.
